This is the story of my father's family:
Mother - Jetje Coini Rozette (born 1891)
Father - David Rozette (born 1891)
Oldest Son - Abraham Rozette (my father holocaust survivor (born 1921)
2nd Son - Marcus (Max) Rozette (born 1924)
3rd Son - Maurits Rozette (born 1927)

My grandparents (David and Jetje) ran a small grocery store in Amsterdam which was located on the corner of the Staalstraat and the Ververstraat. Jetje came from a large family. She was 1 of 13 children. I don't have any information on her family. David had one brother (Marcus) and two half siblings (Asser and Sarah). David and Jetje were married in 1919. Jetje worked as a seamstress doing alterations and repairs. David and Jetje together had a newspaper stand near the ferry boats which crossed the IJsselmeer. Before starting the grocery store David worked in railroad construction. Both David and Jetje are listed on the Namenmonument.

Abraham survived the war and ultimately settled in Santa Clara California (USA) where he lived until he passed away of natural causes in 1989.

Marcus (know as Max) was named after an Uncle (brother of David). Before and during the war he was apprentice to a furrier. He bought lots of fur trimmings and sewed them together making mittens. Those mittens were used by the Germans and because of that Max was given a stamp on his ausweis deeming him "valuable to the war effort". Unfortunately the stamp did not save him. Marcus is listed on the Namenmonument.

Maurits - Unfortunately I dont have any information on Maurits other than he along with brothers Abraham and Max helped with the newspaper stand, and grocery delivery. Maurits is listed on the Namenmonument.
