What a tremendously good initiative this new Holocaust Memorial is. May the memorial serve as a reminder, a tangible object, a warning that this may and can NEVER happen again.
Above all, it’s a comfort for all survivors and family members who came through this tragedy and kept going, albeit with a heavy burden on their shoulders every single day.
I have adopted the name of Anne Frank's mother, a mother who sets an example for all mothers in the world.
Even though Anna did not always write so flatteringly in her diary about her mother, and the bond between mother and daughter was difficult, in reality there was a strong bond between Edith and Anne.

Edith Frank-Holländer (1900-1945)
Let us draw everybody’s attention to this memorial, so that all names on the memorial live on.
